Liasing with School
We place a high priority on close links with parents and operate and 'open door' policy where parents are invited to discuss any issues with class teachers and the Head. We develop these links through:
- Parents Evenings
| Autumn Term | A meeting early in the academic year for consultation between parents, teacher and child to set targets for the rest of the term. |
| Spring Term | A meeting where the children show their parents' their work and review targets in discussion with the class teacher. |
| Summer Term | A written report is sent to all parents, giving details of attainment in the curriculum and other aspects of school life. There is also the opportunity to meet the class teacher and discuss the report it required. |
- Parent Appointments.
These are made by request of teacher, parent or Headteacher and are the best way to discuss matters of concern - they are made at a mutally convienent time.
- Parent Help.
This is most welcome in many ways. Please contact the school if you can offer your services, no matter how small - they considerably enhance many aspects of life in school. Library work, reading groups, craftwork, swimming groups are just some ways in which you can help.
