About the Governors
As we are a voluntary aided school, our governors work in close liaison with the school to give support and to promote high standards.
Governors are like a board of directors and make decisions about how the school is run. They met as a full governing body twice a term, with additional meetings for sub-committees.
Governors are appointed to :
· Control admissions
· Decide what is taught
· Set the standards of behaviour
· Interview and appoint members of staff
· Decide how the school budget is spent.
They have legal duties, powers and responsibilities. They can only act together, not individually. Our governing body consists of :
